CHAMPIONS PARK: THE PLACE TO CELEBRATE

6 min04 July 2024 19:11 GMT+9
KV1 - Catwalk Tour Eiffel-min

If there's one thing you can't miss this summer during the Paris 2024 Games, it's the Champions Park! Open to all and free of charge, this site will be THE place for celebrations between athletes and fans. For 9 days, some 1,200 medallists will celebrate their achievements with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop.

A wave of emotions in sight!

This summer, get caught up in the excitement of the Champion Park, a place where recently medaled athletes and fans can celebrate and share. The 13,000-seat arena on the Trocadéro site will be the symbol of what Paris 2024 wants these Games to be: a time for sharing and coming together.

Between July 29 and August 10, the Champions Park will be open to the public free of charge, offering both sporting and cultural events. Each session will open with a show, alternating between fascinating choreographic universes:

  • Classical and electro-inspired show by Angelin Preljocaj
  • Hip-hop fashion show featuring thirty dancers and urban artists by Mourad Merzouki
  • Voguing competition combining dance, show and extravagant outfits inspired by sports disciplines by Vinii Revlon

There will also be artistic entertainment: fanfares, mime and freestyle soccer to set the perfect mood. Within the site, fans can take advantage of the summer terraces and guinguettes for refreshments and a beer with friends. For youngsters, and thanks to the support of Panasonic (global partner), a space will be created for exchanges around the shared vision of youth empowerment and building a better world through sport.

A unique athlete/fan relationship

Opening up the Games is the ambition of Paris 2024. That's why the Champions Park has been set up like a fan zone, with its grandstands and pit, allowing total proximity to the medallists. Over the 9 opening days of the site, no fewer than 1,200 athletes will parade past, presented by legends of the sport. The experience will be even more immersive for fans, as each day two members of the public will win the opportunity to enter the athletes' tunnel. A unique and exclusive experience, just like the fan experiences offered by the Paris 2024 Club.

This is the DNA of Paris 2024: with the Champions Park, we're opening up the Games thanks to a concept that combines three key ingredients: the athletes, the fans from all over the world and the venues in the heart of the city (here on the most emblematic site of the Games, with the Eiffel Tower behind it). Until now, you could watch the athletes from behind your TV; with the Champions Park, you'll be able to celebrate the world's medallists, live, with them, and all for free!

The thrill of live TV

The third part of the programme will feature live broadcasts of the competitions on giant screens! Once again, fans in search of an Olympic thrill will be able to share in the excitement. With a concept that is unprecedented in the history of the Summer Games, the Champions Park will give you the chance to join in the excitement of the athletes as they compete, and then to celebrate them the very next day as they take to the podium.

The site will be an emotional experience for all those lucky enough to take part!
